Ford Supports Film and With It, Environmental Sustainability

As automotive devotees we've seen some pretty remarkable strategies put forth in the name of environmental sustainability. None, however, as unique as the latest Ford green initiative. In addition to pumping out fuel-efficient models such as the Ford Focus, the automaker will cross industry boundaries and promote eco-friendly practices within an entirely new sector: the world of film.

Teaming up with Entourage actor, Adrian Grenier and film producer Peter Glatzer, Ford will help fund a series of short documentaries centered on endorsing environmental sustainability. Each film will incorporate a segment of pop-culture like film, music and design and delve into some of the key ways in which innovators are molding sustainable businesses. Production of the documentaries comes from SHIFT.com, a website developed by the aforementioned actors.

Considering the project focuses on eco-friendly developments, it's no wonder the filmmakers formed a bond with our favorite automaker. Grenier agrees saying, "SHIFT.com celebrates businesses where great design, sustainability and innovation meet, which is why we are so excited to be forging this relationship with Ford."1
