What engines power the Mustang?

When it comes to power, you’ve come to the right place. The 2019 Mustang is available with three unique engine options. The first of these is a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-4, which can pump out 350 lb-ft of torque and 310 horsepower. If you’re looking for additional power, you’ll want the 5.0-liter V8, which cranks out around 420 pound-feet of torque and 460 horsepower. For anyone that is upgrading to the Shelby GT350, you’ll find yourself with a 5.2-liter V8 engine, which can generate 429 lb-ft of torque and 526 horsepower. All of these available engines come in rear-wheel drive, along with a six-speed manual transmission. With every engine, except the Shelby’s options, you can opt for a ten-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
