Trim Levels (Exterior)

Available in four trim options, Pro, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning showcases the traditional muscle and styling that driver love. Pickup enthusiasts will appreciate features like a carbon black grille with active grille shutters, black front and rear bumper, automatic high beams, black heated driver and passenger door mirrors, mega power front truck or frunk, and crew cab with a 5.5-foot bed. Additional upgrades include 20- or 22-inch wheels, LED mirror-mounted spotlights, Geometric Gray-ion fine Satin Metallic with Signature Front Lighting, power-adjustable heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal, and a twin-panel moonroof. The F-150 Lightning is available in nine exterior color options.

Engine (Power)

All 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups are equipped with 452 horsepower, dual electric motors that combine to produce 452 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. If you opt for the extended-range battery, the dual motors reach 580 horsepower.

Performance

The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning comes with a one-speed direct-drive automatic transmission and four-wheel drive as standard equipment. You can choose from two battery options, a 98-kWh battery, which is equipped on all models except the Platinum model, which gets a 131-kWh extended range battery. Batteries have a driving range of up to 320 miles and can reach full charge in eight to 20 hours, depending on the charger type. AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, push-button start, and three driver modes: engine, mapping, and traction control are also standard equipment. The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. EPA ratings come in at 66/73/60 combined/city/highway MPGe.

Interior

The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning does not skimp on space, with comfortable seating for five, 43.9/43.6 inches of front/rear legroom, and 52.80 cubic feet of total cargo space. Interior comforts include dual-zone climate control, fade-to-off interior lighting, vinyl-covered four-way manual heated bucket front seats, and 60/40 flip-up split bench rear seats with elongated cushion. All 2023 Ford F-150 Lightnings come with SYNC 4 supported by a 12-inch digital productivity screen with enhanced voice recognition, built-in navigation, and FordPass Connect. Options include heated and ventilated leather seats, premium wood trim, a 15-inch touchscreen, Bang & Olufsen sound system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, a mid-console work surface, and ambient interior lighting.
