2023 Ford F-150
In production for 75 years, the Ford F-150 has made its mark on the industry. This truck offers just about anything you could want in a pickup, whether that involves work or play. The 2023 Ford F-150 can tow and haul more than many of its competitors, and its impressive list of powertrains makes it a popular choice among others in the crowded full-size pickup truck class.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Ford F-150 has eight available trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. Depending on the trim, the truck's appearance changes drastically. Built for off-roading, the top-two trims have a more rugged appearance, while the XL and XLT are meant to be work vehicles.
Two new package options are available for the 2023 model year. The Heritage Edition celebrates the truck's 75th anniversary with several two-tone paint options and unique 20-inch wheels, while the Rattler Edition includes black exhaust tips and 18-inch dark-painted aluminum wheels.
Engine (Power)
Engine options with the Ford F-150 are almost as plentiful as the number of trims. Six distinct engine options help you achieve the perfect balance of performance and efficiency to meet your needs and budget. The base 3.3-liter V-6 engine works well for small tasks, while the 5.0-liter V-8 engine gives you reliable horsepower. A hybrid turbocharged V-6 engine is the most affordable option. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available on most trims.
Performance
Depending on the trim and engine you choose, gas mileage varies on the 2023 Ford F-150. Expect to get anywhere between 15 and 25 mpg in the city and 18 and 26 mpg on the highway. It also boasts best-in-class towing and payload capacities of 14,000 pounds and 3,325 pounds, respectively.
Interior
Depending on the configuration, the 2023 Ford F-150 can fit three to six people. The Regular Cab sits three people on a bench seat, while the Super Cab and SuperCrew models have two rows of seats and can fit either five or six travelers.
The Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system is easy to operate. You can also use the buttons and knobs on the center stack to adjust climate and audio controls. While the standard 8-inch touchscreen display works well, the optional 12-inch touchscreen display is where the graphics genuinely shine. When paired with the 12-inch digital cluster, the F-150's technology display pops. A few of the standard technology features include numerous USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. You can add HD and satellite radio as well as wireless smartphone charging.
Safety Features
Ford placed several key driver-assistance features inside every 2023 F-150, with some of these features including automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, and forward automatic emergency braking. You have the option of adding more than a dozen safety features, some of which include reverse automatic emergency braking, a surround-view parking system, adaptive cruise control, and driver-attention monitoring. Thanks to these impressive safety features, the truck earned a perfect five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It also earned the highest rating in all six tests administered by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
