Who Would Win, a Ford F-150 Raptor or a T-Rex?

With a name based on a predatory dinosaur, we can't blame Autoblog for wanting to compare the Ford F-150 Raptor with a Tyrannosaurus. How do the two stack up in this comparison vid?

Well, the 2017 F-150 Raptor can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.2 seconds, and has four beefy disc brakes to bring it back to a halt again. Its high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine delivers 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.

It can also use this power to tow up to 8,000 pounds.

With 9.8 inches of ground clearance, FOX Racing Shox, and all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels, the F-150 Raptor is at home scorching across the desert at high speeds.

The Tyrannosaurus is... a guy in a dinosaur costume.

Alright, alright—not a fair comparison. But if you think the real tyrant lizard king would have fared better, you'd be mistaken. According to the latest computer models, the T. rex couldn't have run faster than 12 mph without shattering its own massive bones.

Whatever way you cut it, the F-150 Raptor still takes the off-roading crown.
