About Dania Beach Florida

The city of Dania Beach is located in Broward County, Florida. Dania Beach started as just a small neighborhood called Modello and it wasn’t until 1904 that it was incorporated as a town under the name Dania. At that time, there were just 35 residents and most were of Danish ancestry. In 1998, the town officially changed its name from Dania to Dania Beach. There are so many antique shops in the town that it quickly earned the nickname “The Antique Capital of the South”. So many, that the Federal Highway is known as “Antique Row”.
