The new Ford Escape continues where the previous year’s Ford Escape model left off, providing families with a compact SUV that features plenty of customization options. Performance

The new Ford Escape offers the same performance capabilities as the previous year’s model. The vehicle is powered by a standard 181-horsepower 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gas engine that can generate up to 190 pound-feet of torque, providing more than enough power for most families. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that ensures a smooth ride and high fuel efficiency.
The vehicle achieves a fuel efficiency rating of 28 city miles per gallon and 34 highway miles per gallon, averaging about 31 miles per gallon in real-world scenarios. This high fuel efficiency means that families can enjoy extended travel both in and out of town without having to worry about excessive gas-related expenses.

Digital Technology

The Ford Escape also features an array of features powered by digital technology. The first of these features is its infotainment system. The base model features a 4.2-inch radio display, while enhanced infotainment capabilities are reserved for the Escape’s SE trim or higher. The enhanced infotainment system features an 8-inch touchscreen display and is powered by Ford’s latest Sync 3 infotainment interface. Taking things even further, the Escape’s Titanium trim features a 10-speaker audio system and other additional infotainment features.
The Ford Escape shines due to its inclusion of driver assistance features even in the base model, whereas many of the vehicle’s competitors reserve such features for their higher trims. The standard driver assistance features include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams.

New/Unique Features

This year’s Ford Escape model features no performance or utility-related changes. Instead, Ford has decided to focus on additional aesthetic offerings in the form of new paint color options. The new paint colors introduced for 2022 include Atlas Blue, Flight Blue, and Iced Blue.
